Recycling
Did you know that unwanted electrical equipment is the UK's fastest growing type of waste?
Do you have any unwanted electrical or electronic goods?
Is this symbol displayed on them?
Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. Some of the materials in batteries can be recycled too. If you don't recycle these items they will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination - harming wildlife and also human health.
"The Active Life Store" is supporting the national network of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling centres established by local authorities.
Please recycle any unwanted electrical and electronic items at a recycling centre near you. You can locate your nearest by clicking here.
Recycle Now Under the Waste Battery Regulations, "The Active Life Store" are now offering a take back scheme for all portable waste batteries - you can return your waste to our business premises in person (please do not post). Alternatively, you can find your nearest battery recycling centre, by clicking here. Most supermarkets and shops that sell batteries are now offering collection bins for used batteries; and some town halls, libraries or schools may also have collection points.
